This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you visit this personal portfolio website operated by LoveKapibarasan, and how it is handled.

1. Who We Are

This site is operated by LoveKapibarasan, an individual developer based in Regensburg, Germany. For any privacy-related question, please get in touch via my GitHub profile at github.com/LoveKapibarasan.

2. Information We Collect

This site has no account registration or login. When you visit it, the following data is processed: usage data collected by Google Analytics, only if you consent (see sections 4 and 5); technical data such as your IP address, which the hosting provider and the third-party providers listed in section 4 need in order to deliver the site; and your chosen language and light/dark theme, which are stored only in your browser's localStorage and are never sent to me or to any server.

3. Information You Choose to Share

If you contact me through the external links provided on this site (for example, my GitHub profile), I will see whatever information you choose to include, such as your account name and message content. This information is used only to respond to your inquiry and is not used for any other purpose.

4. Third-Party Services

To display this site, your browser loads a small number of resources from third-party providers. These providers may process technical data such as your IP address and browser information when serving these resources, in accordance with their own privacy policies:

• Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com) — used to load web fonts.
• Font Awesome via cdnjs.cloudflare.com — used to load icons.
• Google Analytics 4 (www.googletagmanager.com / google-analytics.com), provided by Google Ireland Limited — used to understand how visitors use this site, for example which pages are viewed, how long visits last, which page referred you, your device and browser type, and your approximate location (country or city). Google Analytics is only loaded after you accept it in the cookie banner; the legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG). Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) to recognise returning visitors. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States, which is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework. You can decline, or withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of each page; you can also block cookies in your browser or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
• Hosting provider — the server that delivers this site processes technical data such as your IP address, browser and the requested page in its access logs, in order to deliver the site and keep it secure.

If you use Google Sign-In within one of the applications linked from this site under the shared "LoveKapibarasan - Applications" identity, Google processes your sign-in according to Google's own privacy policy. Only the basic profile information you approve (such as your name, email address, and photo) is shared with the specific application you signed into, for the account creation and authentication purposes described in that application's own privacy policy.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

With your consent, this site uses cookies set by Google Analytics (see section 4) to measure how the site is used; without your consent, these cookies are not set. It does not use advertising cookies. It also uses your browser's localStorage to remember your selected language and theme and your cookie choice. You can change your cookie choice at any time via “Cookie settings”, and delete cookies and localStorage data through your browser settings.

6. Data Retention

This site itself has no database. Google Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in Google Analytics (at most 14 months) and is then deleted automatically. Language and theme preferences remain only on your own device until you clear them. Any correspondence you send me through an external platform is retained according to the retention practices of that platform.

7. Third-Party Applications and Links

This site links to independently operated applications and projects (for example, whatcha, Rustify, Toddyi, Arch-Insight, and OneFocus). Each has its own privacy policy governing the information it collects. This Privacy Policy applies only to this portfolio site, not to any linked application.

8. Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; for this site that is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht). Because Google Analytics data is pseudonymous, the simplest way to stop its collection is to withdraw your consent via “Cookie settings” and delete your cookies. You may contact me at any time about any of these rights.

9. Children

This site is not directed at children, and I do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect once posted on this page, and the "last updated" date above will be revised accordingly.
